Taipei summers are usually hot, humid, and rainy. Sudden showers are common, so it is a good idea to bring a small umbrella or light raincoat. Since summer is also mosquito season, we recommend bringing mosquito spray, especially for outdoor attractions, parks, and evening activities.

Pack light, breathable clothing such as T-shirts, shorts, skirts, and comfortable walking shoes. A hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and a reusable water bottle are also useful for hot days. You may also want to bring a thin jacket for air-conditioned places such as hotels, malls, and public transportation. Don’t forget mosquito spray.
